Thyroid Shear Wave Elastography (SWE) is an advanced ultrasound technique that assesses the elasticity of the thyroid gland. By generating shear waves and measuring their speed through thyroid tissue, this scan determines the stiffness of nodules — helping to distinguish between benign and potentially malignant lesions.
If you’re experiencing thyroid symptoms or have been diagnosed with thyroid nodules, this advanced ultrasound scan offers critical insights for accurate diagnosis and management.
