Does this replace my NHS scans?
No. A private scan is extra reassurance, not a replacement. Keep all your NHS antenatal appointments and scans, and share our report with your midwife.
Can my baby still turn after the scan?
Yes. Babies can change position until labour, especially in second and later pregnancies.
Expecting twins or triplets?
Choose the twins or triplets option in the booking form so we reserve the longer appointment each baby needs.
What if my baby is moving less?
Do not wait for a private scan. If your baby’s movements slow down, stop or change, contact your maternity unit or midwife straight away, day or night.

- Wear something comfortable that lets you easily uncover your bump.
- Bring any previous scans, reports or doctor’s letters so the sonographer can compare and focus on what matters.
