Do I need a referral?
No. Patients and practitioners can book directly. If your injector has asked for the scan, bring their notes or the product name and date of treatment.

When is it an emergency?
Severe pain, white or dusky skin, spreading redness with fever, or any change in vision after filler needs immediate care: contact your practitioner and go to A&E.

You should book this scan if you have symptoms such as pain, swelling, skin discolouration, lumps, asymmetry, or unexpected changes following facial aesthetic treatments.
What complications can this scan detect?

No. It’s a non-invasive and pain-free procedure. A small amount of gel is applied, and the ultrasound probe is gently moved over the affected area.
How long does it take?
Most complication assessments take around 30 minutes, depending on the area and severity.
Do I receive a report?
Yes. A detailed ultrasound report with images will be provided. You can share this with your aesthetic practitioner for further treatment.
