A full-body ultrasound brings together the scans most often used for health screening, so the main organs and blood vessels are checked in one visit. It uses sound waves only — no needles, no radiation.
Check the thyroid for nodules or enlargement, and the neck arteries for plaque and narrowing linked to stroke risk.
Look for fatty liver, gallstones, cysts and other changes in the upper abdominal organs.
Assess the urinary tract for stones, cysts and blockage, and screen the abdominal aorta for an aneurysm.
Women: uterus, endometrium and ovaries (transvaginal). Men: prostate, bladder and testes (transabdominal and testicular).
Want breast and axilla scans included too? Choose Full-body Plus in the booking form — it adds both breasts and armpits in a longer appointment.
A Full Body Ultrasound Scan is a complete, radiation-free health screening designed specifically for female patients. This multi-area ultrasound examination evaluates internal organs, blood vessels, and soft tissue structures—enabling early detection of abnormalities before symptoms appear.

A question before you book? Call usFamily history, symptoms, recent blood tests and medication all help the sonographer decide where to look most closely.
The sonographer works from the neck down to the pelvis, area by area. The internal (transvaginal) part for women is explained first and only done with your consent; a chaperone is available. It takes about 40 minutes.
Findings are explained during the scan, and your written report follows within 24 hours — ready to share with your GP or specialist.
Choose the location that works for you. Confirm your selected clinic in the booking system before completing your appointment.

Adults who want a broad health check, people with a family history of thyroid, kidney, ovarian, uterine or prostate problems, and anyone with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes. No GP referral is needed.
Full-body Plus adds an ultrasound of both breasts and armpits (axillae) to everything in the Full-body scan, and takes about 60 minutes instead of 40. You can choose either in the booking form.
A transvaginal scan gives the clearest view of the uterus and ovaries, but it is always explained first and only performed with your consent. If you prefer, the pelvis can be assessed through the tummy instead.
Ultrasound can show cysts, lumps and other changes in many organs, and is a useful first look. It cannot rule out every condition, and some findings need further tests to explain them. It does not replace NHS screening programmes such as cervical, breast or bowel screening.
A health check is for planned assessment. New severe pain, chest pain, sudden weakness or other urgent symptoms need your GP, NHS 111 or 999 — do not wait for a private scan.

What SWE adds to traditional ultrasound scan? Elastography offers enhanced diagnostic capabilities beyond traditional ultrasound by measuring tissue stiffness, crucial for identifying diseases like liver fibrosis or helping better differentiation between malignant and benign tumors. It provides quantitative data, allowing for early disease detection and monitoring treatment effects. Unlike traditional ultrasound, which only visualizes tissue structures, elastography adds functional information, improving accuracy in distinguishing between benign and malignant lesions. This non-invasive, painless technique improves patient comfort and reduces the need for biopsies, offering a safer, more informative diagnostic tool.
