With an extensive clinical background spanning more than 25 years in Radiology and Diagnostic Ultrasound, Alireza Babalou is an experienced Ultrasound Specialist at Phoenix Ultrasound.

Alireza completed his medical degree (MBBS/MD) followed by specialist postgraduate training in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology in Iran. He subsequently worked for more than 25 years in clinical practice, including senior and consultant-level roles in Radiology and Diagnostic Ultrasound.

Alongside his medical and radiology qualifications, Alireza has undertaken further advanced training in the United Kingdom, including fellowship training in Vascular and Colour Doppler Ultrasound, as well as Fetal and Obstetric Ultrasound training at the University College of London (UCL). This combination of radiology expertise and advanced ultrasound training has enabled him to develop extensive experience across a broad spectrum of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Throughout his career, ultrasound has been a major focus of his clinical practice. His extensive experience allows him to approach each examination with a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, pathology, imaging appearances and the clinical significance of ultrasound findings.

His combination of medical education, specialist radiology training, UK-based advanced ultrasound training and more than 25 years of clinical experience provides him with a comprehensive approach to diagnostic ultrasound.

With more than 15 years of experience in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Dr Elham Keshavarz is an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist and a valued member of the specialist team at Phoenix Ultrasound.

Dr Keshavarz completed her medical degree (MD) followed by specialist postgraduate training in Diagnostic Radiology in Iran. Over the course of her career, she has accumulated more than 15 years of clinical experience as a Radiologist and Radiology Specialist, developing extensive expertise across diagnostic imaging, with a particular focus on breast imaging and women’s healthcare and advanced ultrasound imaging.

She has undertaken advanced fellowship training in Breast Imaging and Breast Disease, providing her with specialist expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of a wide range of breast conditions.

Alongside her clinical career, Dr Keshavarz has also held an academic position as an Assistant Professor of Radiology overseas, contributing to medical education and the training of healthcare professionals.

Dr Keshavarz holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and is professionally registered to practise Radiology in the United Kingdom.

Her combination of specialist radiology training, Breast Imaging fellowship, academic experience, FRCR qualification and more than 15 years of clinical practice in diagnostic imaging provides a highly specialized approach to breast imaging and diagnostic assessment.

With an impressive career spanning more than 28 years in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Gwendolyn Williams is a highly experienced Senior Ultrasound Specialist and a valued member of the specialist team at Phoenix Ultrasound.

Gwendolyn completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound at the University of Hertfordshire and has subsequently undertaken further specialist training across several areas of diagnostic ultrasound.

Her postgraduate qualifications and professional training include a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from the University of East London, a Certificate in Breast Ultrasound, and specialist training in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound.

Throughout her career, Gwendolyn has gained extensive international clinical experience, having worked across the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean. This broad international background has given her considerable experience working within different healthcare environments and with a diverse range of patients and clinical presentations.

Over her 28-year ultrasound career, Gwendolyn has developed extensive experience across a broad range of examinations including general, MSK, breast, obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound.

Her combination of more than 28 years of hands-on ultrasound experience, postgraduate education, specialist ultrasound training and extensive international clinical practice provides her with a comprehensive and highly experienced approach to diagnostic ultrasound.

Simran Kaur is an experienced Sonographer with a broad clinical background encompassing general, musculoskeletal, obstetric, gynaecological, vascular, breast and paediatric ultrasound.

Simran holds a Bachelor of Medical Sonography / Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography and is accredited by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Her academic and professional training has provided her with a strong foundation in diagnostic ultrasound and patient-centred clinical practice.

Throughout her professional career, Simran has gained extensive experience working across both private healthcare and NHS clinical settings in the UK, performing a diverse range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations and managing patients with a variety of clinical presentations.

Alongside her clinical work, she has been actively involved in ultrasound policy development, quality assurance, patient safety protocols and equipment audits. She has also contributed to the training and mentoring of sonographers and other healthcare professionals, reflecting her commitment to maintaining high standards of ultrasound practice and continuous professional development.

Her combination of formal sonography qualifications, professional accreditation and extensive experience within UK healthcare settings enables her to provide a comprehensive and professional approach to diagnostic ultrasound.

Hootan Mohsenian is a highly experienced Echocardiography Specialist and Healthcare Professional with a strong medical background and extensive expertise in cardiac ultrasound.

Hootan originally trained and qualified overseas as a Medical Doctor (MD) before pursuing advanced training and developing a specialist career in echocardiography in the United Kingdom.

He has more than 14 years of full-time echocardiography experience in the United Kingdom, in addition to several years of medical and echocardiography experience internationally.

He has undertaken advanced postgraduate education in cardiac and medical imaging in the UK, completing an MSc in Medical Imaging Science (Echocardiography) at Imperial College London and an MRes in Clinical Imaging Science at King’s College London. He also holds Adult Accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE).

Throughout his career, Hootan has gained extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient cardiac services, including the assessment of patients in intensive care (ICU) and coronary care (CCU) settings. His professional experience also includes the training of cardiology registrars and senior cardiac physiologists, as well as involvement in advanced echocardiography techniques and cardiac imaging research.

His combination of medical training, advanced postgraduate education in cardiac imaging, BSE accreditation and extensive UK echocardiography experience provides him with a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology and functional assessment.
