The Liver Multi-Parametric Ultrasound Scan uses advanced imaging technologies to provide a comprehensive view of your liver’s structure and function. This scan is highly recommended for diagnosing various liver conditions, monitoring chronic liver disease, and informing treatment decisions. By combining a Liver Doppler Scan and Shearwave Elastography (Fibroscan), we deliver a holistic assessment of liver health.
Indication: Measures blood flow in the liver and its major vessels, helping detect abnormalities such as portal hypertension, thrombosis, and other vascular conditions.
Method: Real-time Doppler ultrasound is used to visualize blood flow patterns and velocities. This painless, non-invasive test helps assess liver perfusion and the condition of major veins and arteries.
Purpose: Quantifies liver stiffness to assess the degree of fibrosis or cirrhosis—essential for diagnosing and monitoring chronic liver disease.
Procedure: A painless and non-invasive technique using shearwave technology to instantly measure liver stiffness. Results provide a reliable indicator of liver fibrosis, replacing the need for invasive biopsies in many cases.
If you are being monitored for liver disease or need a thorough evaluation of your liver’s condition, this advanced scan can provide essential insights. Schedule your appointment today with our expert sonographers for fast, accurate, and compassionate care.

Historically liver elasticity measurements started with the FibroScan machine, which introduced transient elastography (TE) as the pioneering technique for assessing liver stiffness. Over time, newer and more advanced techniques for liver stiffness assessment have emerged, but the term “FibroScan” has become a generic reference for liver elastography measurements, even when other technologies are used. This widespread usage of “FibroScan” as a blanket term for all elastography techniques is technically a misnomer.
