Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly. If your GP or specialist has asked for this scan, bring their letter so the sonographer knows what to focus on.

Is it confidential and private?

Yes. A chaperone is available, and you can ask any questions before we start.

Should I choose the Doppler option?

Choose colour Doppler if erection problems are the main concern. Call us if you are unsure.

What if it is an emergency?

An erection lasting more than 4 hours, or sudden pain and swelling after an injury, needs A&E straight away.
